Job Summary

Support First Energy’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) by managing calendar and travel, handling confidential communications, coordinating meeting logistics, and providing broad administrative support to help the organization run smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a solid commitment to safety, maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers.
  • Provide sophisticated calendar and travel management, prioritizing inquiries and troubleshooting conflicts.
  • Execute a broad variety of administrative tasks, including preparing meeting materials, composing correspondence, producing reports and presentations, managing contact lists, arranging travel, completing expense reports, and handling special projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for other First Energy executives, internal and external stakeholders, and visitors, managing critically confidential matters and exercising judgment on behalf of the senior leader.
  • Keep the senior leader informed of upcoming commitments; follow up as needed.
  • Manage the senior leader’s time by researching, collecting, and analyzing information proactively.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Maintain a well‑organized filing system for key materials (electronic and hard copy).
  • Use excellent communication skills with good judgment.
  • Anticipate needs and deliver results consistently.
  • Display excellent teamwork while collaborating with other assistants and employees.
  • Support other executives as requested.
  • Assume additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 10 years of comparable experience, including support to C‑level executives.
  • Must pass the company Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; ability to design and edit graphic presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and time‑management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Commitment to performance excellence.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
