Groups using the 3-2 schedule:

There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Reporting location can be either Akron-Eastwood, 55th Street Center, Akron-Wilbeth, Canton Perry Yard, Eastern-Randall, Northeastern, Western, or Youngstown.
The Business Technology Analyst I, II, and II researches, analyzes, and evaluates data from a variety of sources and makes recommendations to management for program and process improvements. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Acts as a liaison between client area and information systems by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
- Acts as internal lead within the information systems and business groups to reengineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
- Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, designing and specifying systems and procedures that are cost effective, efficient and meet business requirements and corporate strategic goals.
- Provides business consultation to business owners, defines business requirements, and analyzes project impacts (business and systems).
- Performs an analysis of the facts and identifies potential solutions that will meet the business requirements.
- Prepares scope documents, system specifications and design recommendations for information system changes based on a thorough understanding of the business area and processes.
- Facilitates the defining of databases schemas and tracks requirements defined by the business to monitor information systems projects and business processes.

A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
Business Technology Analyst I:
- 0-2 years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
- 2+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree OR
- 4+ years directly related experience with a High School Diploma
Business Technology Analyst II:
- 3+ years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
- 5+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree OR
- 7+ years directly related experience with a High School Diploma
Business Technology Analyst III:
- 5+ years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
- 7+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree OR
- 9+ years directly related experience with a High School Diploma
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for All Three Levels:
- Strong analytical ability to include organization and problem-solving techniques
- Proficiency in presentation of information through written and verbal communications
- Strong facilitation skills for gathering requirements and business process design related to system change requests
