Technical Writer

We need a Technical Writer who can hit the ground running and help us deliver on ambitious goals this year. The headline is $59,000 - $77,000, but the story is ownership — general work you steer at MGM after just 4 years.

• Keep records, systems, and shared files organized and up to date
• Onboard, mentor, and guide newer team members when called upon
• Represent MGM professionally with vendors, partners, and customers
• Keep the freelance schedule realistic when everyone wants everything yesterday
• Close the loop on every Akron request you touch
• Document the why, not just the what, behind every Conflict Resolution decision
• Stitch together Problem Solving and Coaching into one coherent workflow
• Carry general knowledge that doesn't live in any wiki yet

• Solid understanding of general best practices and industry standards
• Track record that proves you can quietly-relentless ship under deadline pressure
• 5 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Comfort owning a number that goes up or down because of you
• Experience at the mid-level inside a freelance role

MGM doesn't sell general so much as guarantee it, a ruthlessly-focused distinction the Akron, OH team takes personally. At MGM you're trusted with the why, not just handed the what.

The bottom line: $59,000 - $77,000, mentorship, benefits, and flexibility, wrapped into a Technical Writer role that grows as fast as you do.

This opening was refreshed recently and remains an active priority for the team.
