We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team in Akron USA.
As an Architectural Technologist you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and models of building designs using computer-aided design CAD software. You will work closely with architects and engineers to ensure that designs are accurate and feasible.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in architectural technology and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of building codes and regulations is required.
This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models of building designs using CAD software
- Collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure that designs are accurate and feasible
- Conducting research on building materials techniques and construction methods
- Making revisions to drawings as needed based on feedback from project managers or clients
- Ensuring that all designs comply with relevant building codes regulations and standards
- Maintaining accurate records of all design changes and updates
- Conducting site visits to gather information for drawings or to assist with construction issues
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in CAD software and industry developments
To be successful in this role you should have:
- A degree or diploma in architectural technology or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as an architectural technologist or drafter
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Knowledge of building codes regulations and standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
