Overview

Akron Children's Hospital is dedicated to building a diverse workforce that reflects our patient population and the communities we serve. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of four experienced physicians in the Division of Infectious Diseases, providing expert consultation in the diagnosis and management of pediatric infectious diseases with a focus on complex, recurrent, rare, or treatment-resistant infections. The division offers comprehensive outpatient services, follow-up care for hospitalized patients, and evaluation of conditions such as prolonged or recurrent fevers, Lyme disease, and MRSA infections.

The new team member will play an integral role in our infection prevention and control program and may participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research with our affiliated research institute.

• Offer comprehensive outpatient services and follow-up care for hospitalized patients; evaluate conditions such as prolonged or recurrent fevers, Lyme disease, and MRSA infections.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in clinical research in collaboration with the affiliated research institute as applicable.
• Play an integral role in the infection prevention and control program.

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Infectious Disease
• Ability to obtain an active medical license and a DEA license in the state of Ohio
