Hospitalist Nocturnist

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist to join their team in Akron, Ohio. This role involves working exclusive overnight shifts to deliver exceptional patient care within a 532-bed regional medical center. Candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with a cohesive team of physicians and APPs while supporting the local community.

• Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Cohesive and long-standing team of 31 physicians and 4 APPs with the support of a clinical performance nurse
• 532-bed regional medical center with 'Magnet' status
• ICU is closed
• Work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program

Responsibilities

• Work exclusively 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM overnight shifts
• Deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Participate in several hospitalist committees and QI projects
• Respond to codes on their patients
• Work with IM and FM residents from the Cleveland Clinic Akron General residency program

Shift & Schedule

• 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation
• Help cover for teammates as needed
• 12 physicians and one APP working daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 1 physician works a swing shift daily from 12 pm to 12 am
• Two physicians and one APP working nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Qualifications

• Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours
• Board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine
• H1B & J1 visa candidates proudly sponsored
• No procedures or codes are required
