Job Code 006, TS 380 (190 days), Starting Salary $48,006.96. Extended time may be required before and/or after the school year, compensated at hourly extended time rate. Collective Bargaining Unit – AEA. State Teachers Retirement System position.

  • Valid State of Ohio 4-9 licensure in Math.
Position Description
  • Must participate in Professional Development (PD).
  • Engage community and business partners to be incorporated as a resource in curriculum development and student products.
  • Assists all students to meet or exceed 21st century knowledge and skills, including state academic achievement standards.
  • Plans and delivers learning experiences that advance the learning of each individual student; shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
  • Designs authentic learning experiences for students to learn core knowledge, 21st century skills and literacies, through, but not limited to, collaboration, problem–based learning, inquiry, and integration of curriculum.
  • Assists in the planning for intervention and remediation in the areas of math, science and literacy for all students who have not mastered the content standards and implement appropriately.
  • Develops and implements differentiated instructional strategies for each student’s academic growth.
  • Uses technology to develop student content knowledge and skills so students know how to learn, think critically, solve problems, use information, communicate, innovate, create and collaborate.
  • Uses continuous, authentic and appropriate assessment and evaluation measures that are evidence-based and use them to improve instruction and student learning and for feedback, including progress reports.
  • Be flexible, resourceful, innovative and can effectively manage the design and execution of learning experiences, both formal and informal.
  • Creates a classroom environment that incorporates Partners’ staff members as an ongoing presence and is conducive to learning, fosters engagement, self-motivation, student self‑direction and positive social interaction.
  • Provides learning opportunities that support the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of the students.
  • Serves as a student advisor in the student advisory program.
  • Works with students on service‑learning projects in advisory groups.
  • Works closely with students and parents as partners to guide students through school and future education and career choices.
  • Models the teaching expectations that students are to accomplish.
  • Uses evidence-based and best practices to inform instruction and to work with colleagues.
  • Contributes and participates in public presentations.
  • Maximizes opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students.
  • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
  • Develops reasonable rules of classroom behaviors and procedures and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
  • Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
  • Works closely with the building principal to collaboratively lead the school through a shared decision‑making process.
  • Uses electronic tools for grading, both in New Tech applications and district applications.
  • Reports to and is supervised by the building principal.
