Role Description

This full‑time role for a Fabrication Manager is based on‑site in Akron, OH. The Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fabrication process, ensuring the production of high‑quality components adheres to project specifications and schedules. Daily responsibilities include managing and coordinating fabrication teams, maintaining safety standards, reviewing project designs for compliance, ensuring proper inventory levels, identifying and resolving production issues, and liaising with project managers and clients to ensure professional execution of projects.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in fabrication processes, knowledge of materials, blueprint reading, and quality control standards.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management, training, and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and address production challenges effectively.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and plumbing systems or prior experience in HVAC and plumbing fabrication is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with diverse teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in fabrication design software or related engineering tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required, depending on work experience.
