Electrical Estimator (Substation, Permanent)

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Electrical Estimator (Substations) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be vital in shaping the future of our company by providing accurate cost estimates for electrical substation projects.

$120,000 - $200,000 per year

• Preparing cost estimates for electrical substation, transmission, and battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and to determine project requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information for estimates.
• Preparing and submitting competitive proposals and bids to secure new projects.
• Utilizing Accubid and EBM software to improve the accuracy and efficiency of estimates.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on substations and/or transmission and/or MV/HM utility projects.
• Proficiency in Accubid and EBM estimating software.
• In-depth understanding of electrical code compliance.
• Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
