Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers in the design, development, and execution of technical projects. This role will focus on driving innovation, ensuring engineering excellence, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with deep technical knowledge, project management acumen, and a passion for mentoring and building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering team, including resource allocation, goal setting, and performance management.
- Oversee the full engineering lifecycle—from concept, design, and prototyping to testing, validation, and product launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Product, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, product quality, design efficiency, and team productivity.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards, documentation practices, and product development processes.
- Support hiring, training, and development of engineers to ensure strong team capability and retention.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to track team performance, project progress, and product quality.
- Provide hands‑on technical guidance and review of designs, analyses, and test plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.);
Master’s degree preferred. - 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a fast‑paced, technical environment.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, engineering tools, and quality systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in engineering software tools (CAD, PLM, project management platforms).
