Position Details

Full-time, Summer 2026 Engineering Co-op in Akron, OH. Join B&N Engineering and work with top civil engineering experts.

• Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Canton sewer systems.
• Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real‑life application of civil engineering.
• Locate manholes using GPS (survey equipment), taking pictures using a tablet, and inspecting for infiltration and cracks is the main goal of this work.
• You will be able to gain both field and office experience.

• Current student at an accredited college or university working toward a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Mapping.
• Previous survey experience a plus.
• Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80 lbs.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products required. AutoCAD or ArcGIS experience a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
