We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to develop detailed plumbing system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The role involves ensuring all plumbing designs and installations adhere to local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for plumbing materials and labor, stay updated on industry trends, and manage plumbing projects from conception to completion.

The ideal candidate will conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with other engineering disciplines and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.

• Develop detailed plumbing system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, considering water supply, drainage, and sewage disposal.
• Ensure all plumbing designs and installations adhere to local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for plumbing materials and labor required for projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to recommend and implement innovative plumbing solutions.
• Manage plumbing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the integrity and functionality of plumbing installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing system issues during construction and after project completion.
• Maintain accurate records, including design drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

• 2+ years of MEP Design experience, including HVAC and plumbing design.
• Experience using Revit Design Software.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with a focus on MEP.

• E.I.T or P.E Certification (nice to have)

This is a Contract position based out of Akron, OH.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Akron, OH.
