Job Summary:

Provide transportation services for patients traveling to doctor’s appointments, physical therapy, or other medical treatments.

Job Functions:

  • Provide safe and efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch, including assisting patients to and from the ambulette and efficient transfer of patients to receiving personnel.
  • Operate/drive ambulette in accordance with company’s driving standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure safety of bus occupants by observing safe driving practices, seat belt application, and general patient security.
  • Record transportation logs; obtain patient documentation; complete all forms required by policy.
  • Conduct regular ambulette inventory and equipment testing to ensure proper operation. Report and document all needed repairs to the proper maintenance department and management.
  • Comply with all FCC regulations and company policy when utilizing electronic communications equipment.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed from purchasing.
  • Perform general safety and proper operations checks, including fluid checks, tire checks, horn check, and fuel checks.
  • Maintain ambulette, including washing & waxing exterior, cleaning interior, refueling, adding air to tires, and checking oil.
  • Provide basic life support—first aid or CPR in emergency situations to patients.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings as scheduled.

    • Minimum Requirements:

    • Current and valid state driver's license.
