Operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic scans. Ensures accurate processing of patient records to initiate procedures and deliver timely results. Performs additional duties as training and skills allow while maintaining patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program
- Graduate of an approved MRI Technology program and/or ARRT-registered in MRI
- BLS Certification
- One (1) year of MRI Technologist experience preferred
- Post-primary eligibility for individuals currently holding ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS certification, with the ability to obtain MRI registry within one year of hire
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and hospital staff
- Ability to calibrate and operate MRI equipment
- Proper patient positioning and application of restraining devices
- Ability to lift and position patients safely
- Ability to perform select X-ray procedures (as trained)
- Proficient with computer systems for patient record management
- Ability to initiate CPR when required
- Demonstrates behaviors aligned with Summa Health’s customer service standards
