Title: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics – RRT
Location: Akron, OH
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour (11:00–23:30)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostic support for patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation management

• Monitor and document patient vital signs, blood gases, and ventilator settings

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes

• Assist with neurodiagnostic procedures as required by the unit

• Ensure proper infection control and safety practices are followed at all times

• Respond to patient emergencies in accordance with facility policies

• Perform patient education on respiratory care techniques and equipment use

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and ventilator management

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to variable patient acuity

• Comfortable working weekends and floating to other units if needed

• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Required

• NBRC Certification – Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist License – Required at time of submission
