Summary:

To pack, process, and deliver clean linen and collect soiled linen throughout the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal

Education Required:

-Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

-Experience and Training

Required:

-Six (6) months general work experience.

-Good working knowledge of computer applications and systems.

-Must complete effective communication and navigation training to facilitate optimal delivery of outstanding customer service.

Level of Physical Demands:

-Heavy:
Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects-Standing and/or walking most of the day.

-Ability to constantly push, or pull loaded wheeled linen bins weighing form 350-750 pounds and continually lift stacks of linen weighing over 20 pounds.

-Occasional exposure to blood, feces, odors, etc.
