Hotel Housekeeping
A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. This includes servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking carts with room supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances, this role also involves conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within guest rooms in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all guest and employee interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling varying according to hotel needs.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.
- Comply with all Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart setup.
- Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
- May be required to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms to conduct deep cleaning.
- Deep cleaning tasks may include changing AC filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls/molding, touching up scratched furniture, or rehanging closed slide doors.
Our friendly hotel is located just off I-77 in Fairlawn, northwest of Akron, Ohio. Features include an indoor pool, free WiFi, and fully equipped kitchens in all suites. The Summit Mall is 1.9 miles away. Suites include flat-screen cable TV and coffee makers; kitchens are equipped with a dishwasher, stovetop, and microwave.
The hotel offers a 24-hour mini-market, free newspapers, complimentary grocery delivery, and free parking. Suites are modern and thoughtfully furnished, with amenities like complimentary internet, flat-screen HDTVs, and full kitchens stocked with plates, cookware, and silverware. The hotel also features a 1,624 sq. ft. boardroom for meetings or training, and a business center for printing.
Guests can enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast each morning and a social hour Monday through Thursday in the Lodge.
