DescriptionThe IT/Helpdesk Specialist is responsible for providing timely technical support for our technology infrastructure, including routine user account assistance and training, troubleshooting system issues, and technical support to computer, camera, and point-of-sale hardware and software. This full‑time position is 40 hours per week, Tuesday‑Saturday day shift, with scheduled variable shifts depending on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide routine technological support for organizational systems, including installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control within IT systems.
- Set up new user accounts, email configurations, and devices for staff members.
- Install and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and data security.
- Provide technical support to internal staff via phone, email, or in person to address hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
- Document all support activities, IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for reference.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Technology to identify and resolve core problems, ensuring issues are properly escalated and addressed in a timely manner.
- Assist with training Zoo staff on new IT processes and technologies.
- Post‑secondary degree or related coursework in a computer‑related field, or technical/trade school experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ related work experience.
- Familiarity with IT help desk systems, Active Directory, group policy, Microsoft 365 Suite, and Microsoft Admin Centers.
