We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to directly oversee utility construction projects, including internal and external crew management. The role involves ensuring adherence to quality, safety and production standards, and requires strong technical knowledge of utility construction practices, people management skills, a solid work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provide field‑level management and oversight of work performed by internal construction team members and external subcontractor teams, including production, safety and quality.
- Oversee direct‑labor field crews, managing time, attendance, performance, production, quality and safety.
- Ensure job‑site readiness; verify permits and locates before crew scheduling.
- Manage all project materials, tools and equipment, including utilization plans, assignment and management.
- Communicate daily production goals to field crews, verify and ensure they are met.
- Understand basic project financials, identify profit and loss impacts and discuss solutions proactively with Project Management.
- Process, review and approve subcontractor and vendor payments and invoices.
- Provide required data on project production and status for timely customer invoicing and collection.
- Uphold ADB’s safety culture onsite; lead by example and drive the ZERO philosophy across all project sites.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert in quality control, ensuring projects adhere to plans and driving change, improvement and escalation when needed.
- Communicate with internal and external leadership daily, escalating compliance, safety, production or quality concerns.
- Create and provide detailed reports, documents, drawings and photos that include material verifications, quality control and production results via electronic systems, trackers and databases.
- Perform other position duties as requested.

- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with indoor work in environmentally controlled conditions.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on project sites being managed or coordinated.
- When working on site, must wear common protective safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety boots.
- 3+ years of utility construction experience with strong technical knowledge of wireline installations within the telecommunications industry.
- 2+ years of field leadership experience operating a Foreman or higher level.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to drive a company vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Starting pay for this position is $70,000 and may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.
