Our client is a world leader in the friction materials suppliers and manufactures industry, they’ve been developing new sintered metallic friction materials for unique applications since 1929. Our client has a vast array of friction products and materials: from friction brake materials to low-wear friction materials, from sintered metallic brake pads to high-performance clutch components to wet disc brakes.

Responsibilities
  • Adopt the values of the security commitment such as participate in the organization's safety culture and aim to continually improve safety in all aspects of their work, support as a main contact with assigned customers, foster a work environment that promotes mutual respect for all colleagues, and comply with the code of conduct.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to share current state of inventory for input on necessary adjustments to maintain metrics.
  • Facilitate improvements with vendors based on cost, quality and risk.
  • Assure operations has required materials to meet OTD requirements set by customers.
  • Comply with the requirements of the management systems of the business, namely:
    Quality Management System (IATF
    16949), Environmental Management System (ISO
    14001).
  • Oversee negotiations of price & delivery schedules for all purchased raw materials and components.
  • Creates and executes purchase Price reduction plan to meet objectives and works with engineering to approve new suppliers and bring cost effective options.
  • Reduce all inventories with better use of our computer integrated manufacturing system and pull system.
  • Ensures all necessary materials are on hand to ensure efficient operation of all departments and division.
  • Oversee evaluation of supplier performance.
  • Organize and monitor physical inventory for year-end.
  • Maintain and improve inventory record accuracy.
  • Maintain and manage raw material and component rating system to highlight areas of high risk, and high cost to prioritize business efforts.
  • Establish and maintain proper information flow from and to Corporate Sales & Accounting Dept.
  • Establish, maintain and encourage friendly business like but firm relations with all customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date list of "Approved Suppliers".
  • Train and evaluate department personnel as necessary and required.
  • Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed and enforced taking action as required.
  • Work with production to achieve 90% schedule attainment and 100% on time delivery.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Ability to communicate verbally or in writing
  • Basic knowledge of the products
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Be open to giving and receiving feedback
  • Management of ERP Systems
  • Problem solving tools
  • Leadership tools supporting teams
  • Basic management of computer systems
