A large national manufacturer in the Dubuque area is looking for their next Maintenance leader. As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll perform a range of tasks that includes supervising a maintenance crew, installing equipment and systems in a work safety focus environment. The right fit candidate will have three or more years of proven leadership experience and five or more years of developing and implementing new equipment on the production floor.
This is a full scope, hands on, and high impact opportunity.
- Develop, supervise and coach maintenance crew in the maintenance and installation of equipment and systems.
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance department workflow, assigning projects to appropriate maintenance staff and ensuring the dependable operation of operations equipment/machinery with safety as the utmost priority.
- Develop, implements and sets priorities for the preventive maintenance program for operations machinery and equipment, the physical plant, utilities and grounds to assure the safe and efficient operation in accordance with state, federal, local regulations and company procedures.
- ollaborates with engineering and production teams in mechanical equipment layouts and necessary facility modifications to prepare for new equipment/machinery or mechanical processes
- Collaborates with plant leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA and plant safety policies and procedures.
- Directs, assists, and troubleshoots repairs and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures company's food safety and quality policies are being followed.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Engineering or related field preferred.
- 3+ years proven Maintenance / PLC professional work experience in a food processing environment
- 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong electrical and PLC knowledge required.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect and communicate with a variety of skill sets and personality
