Location: Akron (Copley)
Schedule:Full-time - Monday–Friday

What

You Will Do
  • Set up and operate manual or CNC lathes to perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and other precision operations.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Choose and install appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Inspect and measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep your work area safe and organized.
  • Work closely with engineers and supervisors to improve processes and solve machining challenges.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent (trade/technical school preferred).
  • Prefer 5+ years’ experience—but we’re happy to train a motivated candidate with the right attitude.
  • Experience with manual or CNC lathes;
    Bridgeport experience a plus.
  • Understanding of G-code and CNC programming is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods.
