Capstone Search Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our quality and product development team within a leading coatings manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or materials science and a passion for hands‑on testing, analysis, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non‑routine testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished coatings products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct color matching, batch shading, and physical property testing using laboratory instruments such as viscometers, ovens, mixers, and spectrophotometers.
  • Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Support production teams by providing timely feedback on batch quality and performance.
  • Assist with product development, formulation adjustments, and process improvements as needed.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory safety policies, including OSHA, EPA, and GHS requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting, ideally within coatings, paints, inks, or adhesives.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in data entry, documentation, and use of laboratory software or ERP systems.
