The principal accountability of the position is to support all general production activities. This includes setting equipment up for production, any necessary cleaning, monitoring the filling process of the finished product, and final packaging for distribution. This position will also support any other production activities as required by the Lead, Production Supervisor or the Manufacturing Manager. The work schedule for this position is a 2-2-3 schedule (12 hour day shifts) from 6am-630pm
.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate production and automated packaging equipment.
  • Support set-up of equipment to the filling process and any necessary cleaning before, during, or after production of a batch.
  • Monitor the filling process of the finished product and final packaging for distribution.
  • Maintain product segregation and lot/batch management.
  • Understand and safely perform proper cleaning procedures, following SSOP guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and thoroughly per procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to safely operate a tow motor.
  • Works in accordance with and supports company SOPs as outlined in HACCP, SSOP and Quality manuals.
  • Reliable, dependable, with a “team player” orientation.
  • Willingness to be flexible on working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to speak up and review problems with supervisor to determine best action, offering clear communication of the problem.
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills to be effective.
  • Frequent work in a hot and humid production environment; occasional work outside in various temperatures.
  • Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds; occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling.
  • Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment.
  • Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other powered equipment and tools.
  • Must be able to wear all PPE required.
  • Understanding the requirements for sanitary filling of product into various containers and all packaging and labeling requirements for products.
  • Understanding and compliance with USDA policies and allergen requirements.
  • Set-up and operate production and automated packaging equipment; understanding equipment capabilities and production procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed per SSOP guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and company policies and procedures.

$20.60/hour - $24.75/hour
