CNC Mill Operator - 2nd shift

The CNC Mill Operator, operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate parts according to customer specifications.

What You'll Do:

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished workpiece, sequence of operations and change specific tooling (e.g. – inserts, drills, etc.) where applicable.
• Measures, and determines dimensions required on sample pieces & samples to determine conformance to finish specifications.
• May be required to perform inspection and statistical analysis of process to determine actions necessary to maintain quality levels on parts and process.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Assist on teardowns of machines when necessary. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• May be required to discuss with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Keep their areas clean and maintained in proper order.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time;
  Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent;
  Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

What You'll Need:

• High School diploma or GED equivalence and/or 2 years minimum machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• The ability to use calculators, computers and reference materials.
• Ability to solve practical problems as they occur within the scope of the job requirements.
