Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and at least one year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience.

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, all active and in hand
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Background check hits of any kind are reviewed, but candidates with open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits accepted

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments completed during orientation, with up to 2 attempts allowed to achieve a passing score
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
