Travel RN - Emergency Dept - Pediatric ED

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric ER RN requiring 2+ years of recent ER/Peds experience, prior travel experience, and an OH or compact RN license.

• Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BSN required due to Magnet facility status
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ER experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (CEN and NRP preferred)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with care of ventilated patients preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

• Pediatric Emergency Department within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Variable 12-hour shifts including 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to other competent units as needed
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER setting
• Prior Akron Children's Hospital employees may be considered for return as travelers if not currently active employees
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No radius rule applies for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
