** This role is essential because the Luxembourg Metrology organization provides the chemical and forensic insights that underpin Goodyear’s product development, manufacturing performance, and quality assurance. By preparing samples accurately, performing advanced chemical analyses (such as thermal analysis, chromatography, and wet chemistry), and ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, the Laboratory Technician helps define tire performance targets and supports programs that strengthen Goodyear’s competitive advantage.

Through careful documentation, equipment upkeep, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards, the position ensures that critical material data is trustworthy, timely, and directly enables better-performing, safer, and more cost-efficient tires.
** What You’ll Do
*** Prepare and isolate samples accurately, following established laboratory procedures.
* Perform laboratory tests using both standardized and non-standardized methods, including thermal analysis, chromatography, and wet chemistry.
* Operate laboratory instruments effectively, applying chemical analysis techniques to ensure reliable results.
* Ensure the accuracy and consistency of test outcomes while strictly adhering to safety and quality protocols.
* Conduct basic data analysis, validate results, and report any deviations or anomalies.
* Document observations and conclusions clearly in laboratory notes and formal reports.
* Support equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal laboratory performance.
** What you’ll bring
** Basic Qualifications
* BTS in Laboratory Technology or Applied Sciences.
* 2–3 years of practical laboratory experience in chemical analysis.
* Ability to operate key laboratory instruments (chromatography, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, wet chemistry).
* Strong knowledge of chemistry, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and laboratory procedures.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively in English and French.

Preferred Qualifications
* BS in laboratory technology, physics, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
* Experience with a wide range of chromatographic (GC, HPLC, GPC), spectroscopic (UV-Vis, IR), and thermal analysis techniques (TGA, DSC).
* Experience in—or motivation to learn—advanced sample isolation and preparation procedures according to laboratory protocols.
