Position Title

Foreman – Travel – Non‑Exempt

Position Overview

ADB is a nationwide full‑turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions. We are seeking a Foreman to join our wireline team and lead the installation of fiber‑optic cable on various telecommunication projects.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Provides proficient‑level manual labor and operations including hand digging, traffic control, entry‑level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, operating equipment, and leading crews on safety‑sensitive utility construction sites.
  • Reading utility print and map with proficiency.
  • Independent operation of various equipment (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.) for at least one year; fully trained in all safety regulations for heavy equipment.
  • Setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control in diverse conditions (highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations).
  • Maintains safety expectations, leading and following required safety practices.
  • Communicates professionally with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, etc., addressing any complaints or issues.
  • Trains other construction crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
  • Loads and unloads materials and equipment from vehicles at construction yards and job sites.
  • Leads by example, ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed, and leads others on job sites.
  • Performs on‑the‑job training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to grow skills in the utility construction trade.
  • Leads the culture of identifying hazards using the pre‑task process.
  • Performs other position duties as requested.

Work Environment
  • Variety of physical positions: sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing.
  • Possible exposure to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels onsite.
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions: hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice.
  • Required protective safety equipment: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel‑toed boots.
Experience And Education
  • 2+ years of utility construction experience as a crew leader and/or foreman.
  • 1+ year of heavy equipment operating experience (Hydro, Drill, Mini, Plow).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • CDL license (or ability to obtain).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

The starting pay for this position is $30.00 and may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
