Hotel Equities is a multi‑award‑winning hotel development and hospitality management company seeking a remarkable Maintenance Technician.

Under general supervision, assist in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, renovation, remodeling, and general upkeep to keep the facility functional and attractive to prospective guests.

• Complete assigned work orders for general repair within the assigned time frame to achieve operational efficiency.
• Perform systematic checks and inspections to aid in hotel upkeep and participate in the proactive maintenance program to prevent malfunctions.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guests’ needs to repair and/or resolve room maintenance requests.
• Maintain tools, work spaces, and equipment in safe, secure, and good condition.
• Cut room keys and repair or change room locks to ensure security.
• Adjust and repair electronic problems on hotel equipment, including televisions.
• Assist the department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous manner at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
• Work varying schedules to reflect the hotel’s business needs.

• Remove snow and clear sidewalks and driveways as weather dictates for safety.
• Contact electrical, plumbing, and elevator contractors for repair/maintenance of hotel equipment.
• Run errands as needed, driving own or company vehicle to deliver supplies, equipment, and furnishings.
• Provide assistance to other employees and departments to enhance overall performance.
• Assist other departments as directed.

• Sitting: rare; walking: frequent; climbing stairs: occasional; crouching/bending/stooping: frequent; reaching: frequent; grasping: constant; pushing/pulling: frequent; lifting/carrying up to 50 lb: frequent; traveling occasionally.

• Basic working knowledge of general plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical systems, boilers, bathroom fixtures, tiling, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
• Vision to read written communications, LED read‑outs, meters, and computer screens.
• Dexterity to pull levers, rotate knobs, work with arms raised above head, and handle and assemble small parts using basic hand and power tools.
• Upper body strength to lift up to 75 lb throughout an 8‑hour shift.
• Leg strength and ability to crawl into and through small spaces, climb ladders, and support loads of 75 lb.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, communicate effectively, and stay highly organized.

High school education or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 6 months in a similar maintenance position.

• Basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, pliers), power tools (electric drill, saw, solder), painting equipment, key cutting machine, groundskeeping equipment, snow removal equipment, two‑way radio, and iPod.
