Commercial Roofing Foreman

JB Roofing, a Tecta America Company, is currently searching for a Commercial Roofing Foreman at our Akron, OH location. This position involves working with supervisors, estimators and supervising roofing service and maintenance crews. The foreman is responsible for training the production and maintenance workforce and completing assigned jobs.

• Attend training meetings as requested by management.
• Perform job set‑up and oversee small jobs.
• Communicate with customers and maintain good working relationships when required.
• Possess a working knowledge of detailed drawings and specifications.
• Understand warranty terms and requirements to install warranty work.
• Acquire knowledge of the basics of associated sheet metal, including measurements and installation (drip edge, gravel stop, coping, counter flashings, terminations).
• Complete all jobs and prepare for inspection.
• Communicate with the Project Manager concerning needs to expand scope, or enhance, modify design changes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clean motor vehicle record and pass background check. Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to position an extension ladder to access a roof for inspection/survey.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, promoting the organization in a positive and productive discipline that serves as an example to others.
• Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution; multi‑tasking; follow‑through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner; and a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks.
