Plumbing Service Tech

Job Description

A leading mechanical contractor in the Columbus area is looking to hire an experienced Plumbing Service Technician with a solid background in commercial service and installation. This is a full-time opportunity for a reliable technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, can manage job sites, and works well with both clients and crew members.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems and fixtures
• Diagnose issues and perform timely repairs or replacements
• Supervise apprentices and subcontractors as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specs
• Ensure all work complies with plumbing codes and safety standards
• Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and leadership
• Coordinate materials and labor to keep projects on schedule and within budget

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of commercial plumbing experience required
• High school diploma or GED; trade school or formal plumbing training preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and performing manual labor
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
• Knowledge of commercial plumbing codes and system
