Delivery Driver

Zippy Carriers is looking for Delivery Drivers for the Akron Area. We deliver Amazon packages. As a Delivery Driver, you will deliver items from assigned routes in a timely manner. You will need to work as part of a team, to ensure that all packages are delivered correctly and safely to each customer.

You must ensure that all deliveries are fulfilled; be committed to work safety and helping your teammates when they need help completing their routes; and be passionate about satisfying our customers.

• Arriving to work on time in proper uniform, always protecting the brand of Amazon and Zippy Carriers
• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers in a safe and timely manner
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Ensuring all teammates have finished their routes and checking out for the day with the manager/dispatcher
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Presenting a positive and professional attitude when delivering products to customers  homes, retail and business locations
• Using handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles
• Ensuring delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition on a daily basis
• May assist in training other team members

• Driving and/or delivery experience preferred (not required)
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
• Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Attention to detail and ability to problem solve independently
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Valid Ohio Driver s License
• Clean driving record
• 21 years or older

• $20.00 an hour
• Part time and full time opportunities available
  - Hours of operation are typically between 9:30am and 10pm. Part-time would be 2-3 full days of delivery
