Assistant dental lab technician

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create digital impressions and 3D models for various dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays and veneers, using EXOCAD software.
• Operate and maintain CAD/CAM equipment, ensuring proper calibration, functionality, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to understand patient needs and specifications for restorations.
• Ensure the highest standards of quality, fit, and aesthetics for all dental prosthetics produced.
• Perform scanning and modeling of dental impressions, converting them into digital files for production.
• Select appropriate materials for restorations based on patient requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct post-processing, including polishing, finishing, and adjustments to ensure the final product meets the required specifications.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD/CAM technology and dental materials to ensure the laboratory remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality control protocols during production and handling.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including materials used and procedures followed.

• Proven experience as a Dental Technician with specialization in CAD/CAM technology.
• Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Exocad, Millbox, etc.).
• Experience with milling machines, 3D printers, and other CAD/CAM-related equipment.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and restoration techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with dental professionals and patients.
• Certification or formal education in dental technology.
