Librarian

We are in search of a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to manage our library in El-Ain. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and information management as well as experience working in a library setting.

The candidate will bring a unique perspective as an Indian national with a deep understanding of Indian literature.

• Manage library operations and ensure that all materials are properly cataloged, organized, and maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service to library patrons by assisting with research inquiries and recommending resources.
• Develop and implement programs and events to promote literacy and reading within the community.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate library resources into their curriculum or projects.
• Stay up-to-date with new literature releases, trends in information management technology, and library best practices.
• Train and supervise library staff including volunteers or interns.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting.
• Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and information management technology.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Open to Indian nationals who have their own visa (contract position).

We offer a competitive salary of 1,000$ per month for this contract position.
