Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics and related areas of specialization, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, International Economics, Public Economics, and other specialized fields as required.
  • Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance and sustain student success.
  • Conduct high‑quality research and publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals indexed in recognized databases such as Scopus.
  • Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations where applicable.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and academic program enhancement in alignment with university and college standards.
  • Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, initiatives, and strategic projects.
  • Support and contribute to local and international accreditation processes.
  • Promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and data‑driven decision‑making among students to prepare them for careers in academia, government, financial institutions, and the private sector.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment conducive to academic excellence.
  • Engage in community outreach and professional activities that strengthen the relationship between the university and the broader economic and business community.
Qualifications
  • Documented teaching excellence at the university level, with 2+ years of experience in higher education.
  • Research publications in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
  • Dedication to continued professional development and to renewing, developing, and proposing curricula.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both oral and written.
  • Advanced use of technology in the education process, including delivering classes via presentations, using e‑learning systems, and preparing reports.
  • Willingness to provide all necessary and required services to the university and college.
