Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics and related areas of specialization, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, International Economics, Public Economics, and other specialized fields as required.
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance and sustain student success.
- Conduct high‑quality research and publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals indexed in recognized databases such as Scopus.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations where applicable.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and academic program enhancement in alignment with university and college standards.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Support and contribute to local and international accreditation processes.
- Promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and data‑driven decision‑making among students to prepare them for careers in academia, government, financial institutions, and the private sector.
- Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment conducive to academic excellence.
- Engage in community outreach and professional activities that strengthen the relationship between the university and the broader economic and business community.
- Documented teaching excellence at the university level, with 2+ years of experience in higher education.
- Research publications in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
- Dedication to continued professional development and to renewing, developing, and proposing curricula.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both oral and written.
- Advanced use of technology in the education process, including delivering classes via presentations, using e‑learning systems, and preparing reports.
- Willingness to provide all necessary and required services to the university and college.
