Job Description
- Generate periodic data of all GS students through updating the current students lists based on checking each student transcript to get access to accurate information.
- Monitor the academic transcript processes, such as re-enrollment, as well as determining and changing majors.
- Audit students’ academic records, including verifying grades, GPAs, and academic standing.
- Prepare statistics for enrolled, registered, and graduated students, and provide them to relevant parties as needed.
- Prepare reports related to enrolled, registered, and graduated students, and notify relevant university departments with the required student information.
- Prepare receiving documents from the colleges about the students’ cases in accordance with regulations and policies for the Department Head to present to the Student Cases Committee.
- Coordinate with each semester with colleges to submit their students’ Progress Review Forms, minimum credits to register, and end of time/degree limit.
- Collect and collate documents and smooth the process of receiving and supporting a variety of GS students and colleges requests (e.g., Admission Deferment, Postpone, Withdrawal, Nomination to Candidacy, TWIM, NOC) before and after submitting them to CGS decision-makers.
- Assist visitors and callers with information or directions.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate academic discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in an administrative role.
- Experience in a student and administrative support role at a program, department or college level in a university is preferred.
- Experience in graduate education administration is desirable.
- Using the Banner System.
- Demonstrated understanding of student affairs, especially at the Graduate level.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in desktop applications.
- Experience in graduate education administration is desirable.
