We are in search of a detail-oriented and organized Library Assistant to join our team at a library in El-Ain. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library including checking in and out books, organizing materials, and helping patrons locate resources. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals without previous experience in the field to gain valuable skills and contribute to the community. Accommodation is not provided, so candidates must have their own accommodation arrangements in place. Applicants must possess a valid biometric passport or be willing to obtain one before beginning employment.
- Check in and out books and other materials using library software
- Assist patrons with locating resources and answering basic inquiries
- Shelve returned materials in their appropriate locations
- Organize shelves and maintain order within the library
- Assist with maintenance of library equipment such as computers and printers
- Help plan and implement library programs and events
- Keep track of inventory and assist with ordering new materials as needed
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
$1300 per month
