Librarian - English Speaking (Contract)
City:
El-Ain, Egypt
We are seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team in El-Ain. As an English-speaking Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, cataloging new materials, and assisting patrons with research inquiries. This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the library collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Catalog new acquisitions using the Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Develop and implement programs and activities to promote reading and literacy
- Monitor library budget and make recommendations for purchasing new materials
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs and assist in creating reading lists for students
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian
- Fluency in English is required
- Experience using the Dewey Decimal System
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess their own visa or are eligible to work in Egypt.
- This position is open to all nationalities but preference will also be given to women.
