Al Ain offers a relaxed and family-friendly lifestyle away from the pace and congestion of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Known as the UAE’s Garden City, it is surrounded by greenery, parks, oases and impressive desert and mountain landscapes, making it particularly appealing to those who enjoy the outdoors. Jebel Hafit, Al Ain Oasis and Green Mubazzarah provide opportunities for hiking, cycling, camping and exploring, while the city itself has a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafés, gyms and leisure facilities.

The cost of living is generally more affordable than in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi and Dubai are both accessible by road for weekend trips. For teachers looking for a quieter UAE lifestyle with a strong local community and plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape, Al Ain offers an attractive alternative to the larger cities.
