Draftsman – Railway Project

Location: UAE / Oman (Project Site)

We are looking for an experienced Draftsman to join our railway infrastructure project team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings for railway projects and be proficient in industry‑standard drafting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise 2D and 3D engineering drawings for railway infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, Signaling, Telecommunications, Track, and Utility teams to ensure design integration.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international railway standards.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and documentation.
• Incorporate design changes based on engineering comments and site conditions.
• Assist engineers during design coordination and construction stages.
• Perform quality checks to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness. Railway projects typically require coordination across multiple disciplines and strict document control.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, with at least 2-3 years in railway, metro, or major infrastructure projects

• Proficient in AutoCAD
  .
• Knowledge of Micro Station
  , Civil 3D
  , Revit/BIM
  , or Bentley Open Rail is an advantage.
• Experience preparing railway alignment drawings, plans, profiles, sections, and infrastructure layouts.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, CAD drafting practices, and document control.
• Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCC/UAE/Oman railway project experience.
• Experience with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
