Mechanical Supervisor (Water & Irrigation - Roadworks) Full Time Al Ain JOB Description

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all mechanical worksassociated with road and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate installation ofirrigation pump stations, water pumping systems, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of pumps, motors, strainers, filters, pressure-reducing valves(PRVs), air release valves (ARVs), and flow meters.
• Ensure mechanical works are carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements,project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with civil,electrical, utilities, and landscape teams to ensure smooth execution ofroadworks.
• Supervise testing, flushing,hydrostatic testing, disinfection, and commissioning of water and irrigation systems.
• Monitor subcontractors and sitepersonnel to ensure work quality and productivity.
• Inspect mechanical installation sand resolve technical issues during construction.
• Ensure compliance with approved
  
  Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate material inspections and verify compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor work progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is properly aligned, installed, and tested before commissioning.
• Attend coordination meetings with consultants, clients, utility authorities, and subcontractors.
• Identify construction risks and implement corrective actions.
• Verify as-built documentation and handover records.
• Support project close-outactivities and final inspections.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 5-10 years of experience in road,infrastructure, utility, or irrigation projects.
• Previous experience supervisingmechanical works for highways or infrastructure projects.
