The SP Specialist serves as the primary liaison among faculty, students, standardized patients, and Simulation Center staff, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Standardized Patient (SP) Program. The role leads the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of SPs; supports the design and delivery of OSCEs and simulation-based clinical encounters; and helps maintain the training materials, records, and reporting that keep the SP Program running smoothly.

• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard standardized patients; maintain an active SP roster.
• Develop and deliver SP training on case portrayal, checklist accuracy, and structured feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty to build clinical scenarios and SP cases aligned to course learning objectives.
• Coordinate learner orientations for OSCEs and SP-based simulation activities.
• Monitor SP performance for realism and consistency; document performance and improvement needs.
• Build and maintain SP, OSCE, and simulation schedules; coordinate room and resource bookings with Simulation Center operations.
• Organize logistics and room set-up, including exam tools, equipment, supplies, and AV technology.
• Maintain SP and simulation supply inventory; prepare materials for SPs, faculty, and proctors.
• Track SP-related costs and support budget monitoring for the SP Program.
• Maintain accurate SP and partner records (contacts, availability, participation history) for scheduling and reporting.
• Identify and report facility, equipment, or software needs to Simulation Center leadership.
• Contribute to SP Program documentation, training manuals, and internal reports.
• Provide general administrative support to the Operations Manager and iSTAR team as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in a health, education, or related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare, Simulation Based Education,.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse, multicultural population.

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare, Simulation Based Education,.

• Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS)
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
• Prior experience coordinating standardized/simulated patient programs or OSCEs.
• Experience in a university or academic medical center setting.
• Familiarity with simulation scheduling or Learning-management software.
