• 1.1 Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• 1.2 Dispenses medications by, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals.
• 1.3 Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
• 1.4 Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• 1.5 Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counselling patients on drug therapies.
• 1.6 Maintains updated records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories and controlled drug registers.
• 1.7 Getting approvals from insurance companies using on line ppm or via phone.
• 1.8 Maintains proper compliance logs including for refrigerator temperature.
• 1.9 Keeping up-to-date with current pharmacy practice regulated by Health Authority of Abu Dhabi-HAAD.
• 1.10 Continuous medical education through attending lectures and conferences related to Pharmacy field
• 1.11 Complying with UMC OSH Policy and rules and regulations.
• 1.12 Ensure correctly using tools, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with agreed safe work practices.
• 1.13 Aware about the reporting of OSH hazards, incidents and issues.
• 1.14 Ensure application of appropriate risk control measures.
