Assistant Professor in Computer Science – Data Science and AI
The College of Information Technology (CIT) is looking to hire an Assistant Professor in Computer Science with a focus on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The role involves building multidisciplinary research initiatives, collaborating across departments, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Successful candidates will enhance CIT’s research portfolio and contribute to teaching excellence.
Responsibilities• Develop and conduct cutting‑edge research in Data Science and AI, including theory and applications in Smart Health Systems, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence, and Decision Support Systems.
• Publish research in internationally recognized journals and conferences.
• Secure external funding through grants and contracts.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and related programs.
• Supervise students and support their academic development.
• Collaborate with faculty across multiple departments and programs.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Science, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Strong research record in AI and Data Science, with publications in internationally acknowledged venues.
- Demonstrated experience writing and securing grants and contracts.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching and student supervision at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty across departments.
