Abu Dhabi University is seeking a highly skilled AV & IT Support Specialist to join our Digital Advancement, Transformation & AI department at the Al Ain Campus. This pivotal role is responsible for the seamless technical operation of our auditorium and audio-visual facilities, ensuring that all university events, including conferences, ceremonies, lectures, and hybrid sessions, are executed to the highest professional standards.
The successful candidate will manage and support a range of sophisticated systems, including audio, video, projection, lighting, video-conferencing, and live-streaming technologies. Key responsibilities include reviewing event requirements, conducting technical checks and rehearsals, operating equipment during live events, and providing immediate solutions to any technical issues that arise. Additionally, the role involves routine system inspections, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and coordination with vendors for repairs and upgrades.
Beyond event support, the AV & IT Support Specialist will also handle daily IT operations at the Al Ain Campus. This includes managing IT helpdesk requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft 365 and other approved applications, and ensuring the reliability and security of all AV equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong AV expertise, solid IT support capabilities, and excellent customer-service skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure during high-profile events.

The DATA Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for the setup, operation, and ongoing support of audio-visual systems for auditorium activities and university-wide events. The role ensures high-quality, reliable, and uninterrupted AV delivery through the effective management of sound systems, LED displays, microphones, lighting, and related technologies. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring system readiness prior to events, providing real-time technical support during live sessions, and coordinating closely with internal stakeholders to meet event requirements.
The role also ensures a consistent, seamless, and professional standard of AV execution across all university events.
