Instructor in Interpreting (Arabic/English) at United Arab Emirates University in Al-Ayn, AZ, AE. This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a full-time Instructor in Interpreting (Arabic/English and vice versa). The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic environment committed to excellence in teaching and student development. The instructor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in interpreting, with a focus on Arabic-English and English-Arabic language pairs. The candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, active student engagement, and academic advising.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in interpreting (Arabic/English and vice versa).
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
- Select and prepare appropriate teaching and learning resources.
- Plan and deliver well-organized, effective instructional sessions.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to students' interests, diverse cultural backgrounds, and learning needs.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
- A relevant postgraduate degree in Translation, Interpreting, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Arabic and English.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Professional experience as an interpreter is an advantage.
- A relevant postgraduate degree in Translation, Interpreting, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
