Responsibilities
Lead and manage clinical and non‑clinical operations within the unit in a shift, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to foster professional development and high‑quality patient care.
Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and their families.
Assess and identify patient needs and implement and monitor medical plans and treatments, working with physicians, allied health specialists, and the interprofessional team in various settings.
Perform systematic patient assessment and re‑assessment, collecting data on health or situation; analyze assessment information to determine actual and potential nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues.
Define predicted and expected outcomes of the patient’s planned care and create and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the patient and bystanders.
Record vital signs, recognize, address, and raise any abnormalities; maintain and update technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice.
- Perform essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope—including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.
Prepare patients for medical examination and treatment, administer medications and monitor for side effects and reactions, and administer treatments such as IV fluids or blood products.
Provide wound care management, assist in medical procedures—both invasive and non‑invasive—as needed, and facilitate the process of safe admission, transfer, and discharge.
Pediatric Nurse DutiesFocus on the protection, promotion, and optimization of the health of children from newborn age through young adulthood.
Deliver care centered on patients and families, educate mothers and families to protect pediatric patients from injuries, and manage diseases as part of an interdisciplinary team to restore health and maximize comfort.
Support children and families to adopt strategies that promote self‑care, physical, and cognitive development; assess growth patterns and developmental milestones, educate parents about normal growth and development, and elicit comprehensive health histories.
Essential Qualifications- Appropriate license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority, with all required qualifications and experience.
- Proficiency in re‑licensure processes.
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
- Willingness to work across departments when necessary.
- Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Evidenced ability to work as part of an inter‑professional team.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency with electronic medical record platforms for clinical documentation.
- Effective communication skills in Arabic.
