The Home Hemodialysis Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Ain, responsible for supporting patients who receive hemodialysis treatments in their homes. Daily tasks include assessing patient conditions, planning and coordinating home hemodialysis treatments, and monitoring the safety and effectiveness of dialysis procedures. The nurse will educate patients and caregivers on dialysis equipment use, infection control, emergency procedures, and self-care practices, and will regularly review treatment records to ensure adherence to medical protocols.
The role also involves collaborating with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, overseeing equipment and supplies, and participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Strong clinical nursing skills in renal care, including experience with hemodialysis and management of chronic kidney disease.
- Knowledge of home-based care standards, patient education techniques, and infection prevention and control practices.
- Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, monitor vital signs, and respond effectively to dialysis-related complications.
- Proficiency in documenting clinical information, maintaining accurate records, and following established protocols and guidelines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate home visits, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Current nursing license/registration in the applicable jurisdiction and completion of accredited nursing education (diploma or degree).
- Previous experience in nephrology, dialysis centres, or home health nursing is highly preferred.
- Comfort working in an on-site role in Al Ain and willingness to travel locally for patient visits when required.
