The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our high-end restaurant in El-Ain Egypt This includes menu planning food preparation and ensuring high quality and consistent dishes The ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional Egyptian cuisine as well as international cuisine with a focus on using fresh local ingredients They will also have strong leadership skills to manage and inspire a team of kitchen staff
Responsibilities- Develop menus that reflect the cultural and culinary identity of Egypt while also offering international options
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation including portion control plating presentation and quality control
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure efficient use of ingredients and minimize waste
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cooking techniques hygiene practices and teamwork
- Work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth operations between the front and back of house
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh local ingredients for menu items
- Stay current on food trends and incorporate new techniques or dishes into the menu as appropriate
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Egyptian cuisine as well as international cuisines such as French or Italian
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for kitchen operations
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also adhering to budget constraints
Salary $1100 per month
Location El-Ain Egypt candidates from other cities will be considered
